About Bright Start Preschool

At Bright Start Preschool, we are a close-knit team that goes above and beyond to create a family feel in our center. Our facilities provide state-of-the-art security throughout, giving our parents complete peace of mind as to the safety of their precious children.

Our team is highly qualified in all aspects of childcare, and each member of our team is required to have 30 hours of Professional Development for the first year of their employment, and 24 hours each year after. We provide First Aid and CPR training, and continually invest in our team; opportunities are always provided to further their knowledge and development which maintains their motivation, commitment, and enjoyment.

Lead Teacher

Job Summary

Lead teachers are responsible for providing early childhood education to young children. If you are self-motivated, organized, and possess strong communication skills, you would be a valuable addition to our team of dedicated lead teachers. Your ability to work independently while quickly adapting to changing conditions and rapidly assessing the needs of young students is essential. 

Teaching in an early childhood environment is ideal for individuals who love being around children and have a passion for early childhood education. If you want to help children get a great start in life while shaping their educational experience from an early age, apply today. We need someone who can make fast-paced decisions based on governing regulations and the best interests of our children, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare lessons that meet educational requirements in an age-appropriate manner, and teach in a manner that meets the needs of the ages and abilities of all participating students.

• Manage a busy classroom environment, and provide the structure and discipline required for successful learning for everyone in the classroom.

• Help children meet educational milestones through personalized instruction and other supplementary assistance.

• Collaborate with other teachers, instructors, and staff members to create an optimal learning and care environment.

• Provide helpful feedback to parents and guardians on a regular or as-needed basis.

• Work with diverse populations of children and adults from a wide variety of cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds.

• Prepare lesson plans for students according to the age, developmental maturity, and needs of the children.

• Address basic interpersonal skills, such as sharing, taking turns, and asking permission in the classroom.

• Other duties as assigned.

•At least 2 years experience working in a child care center.

•A strong work ethic and organisational skills.

•The ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

•A passion and love for educating children.

•First Aid/CPR Certification is desirable.
